Raven is an open-source desktop news reader designed to enhance your experience through a variety of customizable settings. You don’t need to log in, and your personal information remains private since nothing is collected. Simply pick the websites from which you wish to gather articles and start enjoying the streamlined content. Raven removes all unnecessary distractions from the original articles, such as irritating ads, banners, and clumsy layouts. You have the power to dictate how Raven presents the information, choosing a theme that suits your taste, adjusting font styles, and altering the display size according to your preferences. Additionally, you can configure the layout and eliminate any unwanted elements. For those times when you’re away from a connection, save your favorite articles for offline reading, whether you’re adventuring in the Himalayas or riding the subway. Unlike some companies that monitor your viewing habits to target you with advertisements, Raven prioritizes your privacy. Organize your feeds and varied interests into categories, creating as many as you desire. The platform also offers social sharing, email options, and read-it-later features, ensuring that both you and your network stay updated on the latest articles. With Raven, your reading experience is entirely under your control.
Description
@Voice Aloud Reader is an application that vocalizes text from various sources on Android devices, such as web pages, news articles, lengthy emails, SMS messages, and PDF documents. Users can archive articles they have accessed in @Voice for future listening and create playlists featuring multiple articles that allow for seamless playback. The order of the articles can be customized to prioritize the most significant ones first. Additionally, users can manage speech playback conveniently by utilizing wired or Bluetooth headset buttons to pause or resume narration, navigate through sentences with next and previous buttons, and quickly switch between articles by long-clicking. There are also settings available to adjust pause duration between paragraphs, choose whether to start speaking immediately after loading a new article or wait for user input, and control the playback when a wired headset is connected or disconnected. This flexibility makes @Voice Aloud Reader a versatile tool for consuming text-based content on the go.
