Description
PDFik is an async job API that renders URLs or raw HTML to PDF on sandboxed headless Chromium. POST a page, get a job ID back in milliseconds, and a signed webhook (HMAC-SHA256 over the raw body) fires when the file is ready — polling and direct download endpoints exist too. Failed webhook deliveries are retried with back-off and then dead-lettered rather than dropped.
The tooling is developer-first: typed SDKs for JavaScript/TypeScript, Python and Java; a public OpenAPI 3.1 spec you can feed to any generator; and an open-source, statically-linked CLI whose wkhtmltopdf compatibility mode accepts wkhtmltopdf's own flags — each one mapped, accepted with a warning, or refused with a reason, never silently ignored. A free test mode runs the entire pipeline without touching quota, so CI can verify signatures and download flows for free.
Free plan: 100 PDFs / 0.5 GB per month, card verified but never charged. Paid plans from $29/month, 99.5% SLA.
