Description
PDFik is an asynchronous API designed to convert public URLs or raw HTML into highly accurate PDFs. Users can initiate a job, obtain a job ID, and receive an HMAC-signed webhook upon completion of the PDF, with additional support for polling endpoints if preferred. The rendering process utilizes a sandboxed headless Chromium, ensuring that modern CSS, web fonts, and complex JavaScript-heavy pages are accurately represented in the final output.
Among its key features are signed webhooks complete with automatic retries and a dead-letter queue available on all subscription plans, including the Free tier; two separate billing metrics for rendered PDFs and generated gigabytes which are tracked independently, ensuring downloads do not affect the quota; a free test mode ("test": true) that allows users to access the full pipeline without using their quota; file uploads of up to 150 MB across all plans; guaranteed deletion of generated documents within 24 hours; and end-to-end encryption for per-job credentials. Additionally, PDFik provides official SDKs for JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and Java, along with a public OpenAPI specification for developers.
Under the Free plan, users can generate up to 100 PDFs and 0.5 GB of data each month, with card verification ensuring no charges are applied. Paid plans begin at $29 per month and come with a robust 99.5% Service Level Agreement (SLA), catering to various user needs and ensuring reliability.
Description
Setting up and managing a PDF backend can be a cumbersome and lengthy process. With Paperplane, you can quickly integrate PDF capabilities into your application, allowing you to focus on what truly counts. For those handling batch tasks, Paperplane enables the creation of as many as 20 PDFs simultaneously, giving you the freedom to enhance your workflow and produce more documents efficiently. Its asynchronous API allows you to initiate PDF jobs without needing to monitor long-running processes until completion. Additionally, webhooks will keep you informed about any issues that may arise during the PDF creation process. If you’re in search of a method to generate PDFs from your single-page application, rest assured that if your site functions in Chrome, it will also operate seamlessly with Paperplane. You can even opt to delay PDF generation until a specific element appears on the page, ensuring that all your content is fully loaded before the process begins. This flexibility enhances user experience and reliability, making Paperplane a valuable tool for developers.
