Description
Optipacker serves as an online platform designed for packaging engineers, logistics coordinators, and procurement teams to effectively plan their packaging needs. It incorporates part dimensions or imported STL models along with quantities, container types, allowable rotations, and clearances to generate layouts that users can explore in both 3D views and layer-by-layer perspectives. The software enables users to evaluate loose-fill capacity, optimize pallet configurations while adhering to height, weight, and load-zone constraints, and create packaging inserts based on specific arrangements. Additionally, costing features analyze the requirements for returnable packaging pools, as well as operating and replacement expenses, including amortization and payback periods. Teams have the ability to utilize packaging bills of materials to support demand forecasting and purchasing decisions. An independent Merchant REST API offers container suggestions tailored for storefront and fulfillment operations. While public packing-planning tools can be accessed without an account, it is worth noting that the shape-aware packing functionality is still under development and not yet widely available. As the platform continues to evolve, it aims to enhance efficiency and streamline packaging processes for users across various industries.
Description
Path2 is an innovative tool designed for creating robot cell layouts and programming offline, specifically tailored for robot programmers, control engineers, integrators, and manufacturers utilizing KUKA robots. Users can design intricate 3D cells featuring configurable pallets, conveyors, fencing, and pedestals, while choosing from a diverse range of 20 KUKA models that support payloads from 20 to 800 kg, and visually set Home, Pick, and Place positions directly on the interface. The cell builder efficiently computes pallet layers and can export KUKA KRL .SRC/.DAT programs for ease of use. Additionally, a dedicated generator for palletizing and depalletizing tasks produces KUKA KRL or ABB RAPID files, complete with support for separator sheets. A comprehensive test on a KUKA KR 210 R2700 extra demonstrated the capability to achieve a running cycle just 19 minutes after establishing a basic layout, all without the need for hand-written KRL scripts or positions taught by a pendant. Users can access cell design and a sample KRL setup for free, while customized program exports are available for £149 each. This browser-based application operates without the need for installation or a simulation license, making it easily accessible. However, it is important to note that generated programs must undergo commissioning and site-specific validation to ensure optimal performance.
