Description

Simcenter Embed is an embedded systems development solution from Siemens that uses block diagrams and state charts to simplify firmware design, simulation, testing, and code generation. It is built for engineers working with dynamic systems, microcontrollers, motor drives, digital power applications, and real-time control. The platform provides deep support for popular on-chip peripherals and includes libraries for electric motor control, image processing, video processing, and digital power design. Simcenter Embed helps reduce development time and errors by automatically generating compact, efficient ANSI C code instead of requiring manual coding. Users can create dynamic system models with continuous, discrete-time, and event-based behaviors. The software also includes prebuilt e-drive diagrams, including field-oriented control motor drive diagrams for PMSM, ACI, and synchronous reluctance motors. Engineers can simulate controllers and plants, tune algorithms offline, and test controller behavior before deploying to target hardware. Integrated hardware-in-the-loop capabilities allow teams to debug and tune embedded controllers in real time using host-to-target communication. Simcenter Embed gives embedded development teams a faster way to move from model-based design to validated MCU-ready code.
