    Powerful multiphysics software !

    Date: Jan 31 2024

Summary: Very good and powerful software to model mechatronic systems (with several physic and the controls). Understanding power exchanges between bricks, and dynamics of the full system.
However, many bricks available in the soft, that can be very scary at a first glance :)

Positive: - No need to write equation :)
    - Physical approach to build systems with Lego-like bricks
    - Easy to see an analyze power exchanges between the bricks of the system
    - Analysis tools embedded
    - Available starters and big demos

Negative: - Take some time to know how to manage the connection between bricks (the "causality" aspect)
    - Huge number of bricks and related physical "libraries" (even though lot of starters are available)
    - Many items in the GUI compared to Simulink

Hi, thanks a lot for this 5-star review! Happy to read you like the software and its capabilities. I understand your point on the causality between the components, especially when you're new to the software. After some experience, most users see it as a strength since it also helps you to lower the risk of building and simulating systems with impossible physics ;-)

    Worst stupid software

    Date: Nov 10 2023

Summary: Very bad terrible software. They want to transform modeling to something intuitive but the reality it is a complicated set of components that meet the mentality of technicians with poor documentation.

Positive: The only pro is the multiphysic simulation.if it is developed by big company does not mean it is good.

Negative: One hundred library for the same components.
No logic behind the coupling of components.
No logic in input and output.
Modeling of simple things become a nightmare.
    Poor documentation.

Hi! It's a pity you're not enjoying Simcenter Amesim so far. The experience you describe is not what we hear from most of our users, especially the documentation is something engineers usually describe as outstanding! I would be glad to get in contact with you to help you make the best use of Simcenter Amesim as possible, have you ever been in contact with our support engineers? They can support you with all kinds of user questions, from a software perspective but also from an engineering perspective. They can also help you with some specific training on libraries or industry-applications. If you haven't had one yet I would recommend training since there is actually quite some logic in the libraries, components and documentation :) You can contact support here: https://support.sw.siemens.com/, and feel free to contact me through Linkedin if needed :) Best regards, Chiel Verhoeven Marketing Manager Simcenter Amesim
