In the preparation of tax returns, the app prioritizes privacy by removing personal information prior to utilizing AI for document reading, while also calculating federal Form 1040 and Colorado DR 0104 returns, completing official forms, and providing preparers with detailed calculations for their review. Users have the capability to import documents such as PDFs, Word files, and images from their phones, monitor the progress of returns, recognize any missing documentation, send follow-up emails, and produce both forms and client summaries for their records. Once the preparation is finalized, the completed packages are transferred to Drake Tax for submission, as Taxcalibur itself does not handle the filing of returns.
