Description

MicMac is an open-source photogrammetric suite, licensed under Cecill-B, designed for a range of 3D reconstruction applications. While the software primarily targets professional and academic users, there are ongoing efforts to enhance its accessibility for a broader audience. One of its key advantages is its impressive versatility, allowing it to be applied across diverse domains such as cartography, environmental studies, industry, forestry, heritage preservation, and archaeology. MicMac facilitates the generation of both 3D models and ortho-imagery when suitable. It is capable of handling objects of various sizes, from small items and statues captured from ground level to larger structures like churches and castles using drone imagery, as well as extensive environments like buildings, cities, or natural landscapes through aerial or satellite methods. Furthermore, the software provides tools for georeferencing products in local, global, or absolute coordinate systems. Additionally, several supplementary tools expand its capabilities into metrology and site surveying, enriching its functionality in professional applications.

Description

This intuitive, professional-grade software is designed for processing images captured by drones, allowing users to create georeferenced maps, point clouds, elevation models, and detailed 3D models from aerial photography. It features support for various processing engines, including ODM and MicMac, ensuring versatile capabilities. Users can generate orthorectified maps and obtain georeferenced, filtered, and classified dense point clouds efficiently. The software simplifies volume and area calculations, making stockpile tracking straightforward. Additionally, it enables users to calculate various indices such as NDVI, VARI, and GNDVI, further enhancing data analysis. The platform accommodates both aerial and ground images, whether they are captured in nadir or oblique perspectives. Users can personalize their experience by selecting a logo and color scheme that aligns with their brand identity, ensuring a cohesive look. Moreover, the software allows for the simultaneous execution of multiple jobs, along with the option to distribute single jobs across various machines, significantly improving workflow efficiency. This makes it an invaluable tool for professionals in the field of drone imagery and mapping.
