Description
MPCPy is a Python library designed to support the testing and execution of occupant-integrated model predictive control (MPC) within building systems. This tool emphasizes the application of data-driven, simplified physical or statistical models to forecast building performance and enhance control strategies. It comprises four primary modules that provide object classes for data importation, interaction with real or simulated systems, data-driven model estimation and validation, and optimization of control inputs. Although MPCPy serves as a platform for integration, it depends on various free, open-source third-party software for model execution, simulation, parameter estimation techniques, and optimization solvers. This encompasses Python libraries for scripting and data manipulation, along with more specialized software solutions tailored for distinct tasks. Notably, the modeling and optimization tasks related to physical systems are currently grounded in the specifications of the Modelica language, which enhances the flexibility and capability of the package. In essence, MPCPy enables users to leverage advanced modeling techniques through a versatile and collaborative environment.
Description
treeDiM is a software company specializing in CAD and PLM solutions tailored for packaging design as well as point-of-sale displays. The Picador CAD software is actively utilized by more than 4,500 users across 55 countries, including packaging manufacturers, digital printing firms, industrial enterprises, brand owners, and designers. Meanwhile, the collaborative platform PLMPack has attracted over 15,000 users globally. One of our groundbreaking initiatives, the collaborative ecodesign platform PLM Pack, boasts various software modules, including PackLIB, a collection of parametric packaging model libraries, and StackBuilder, which optimizes palletizing, case packing, and truck loading. Additionally, our PackStress module provides essential calculations for packing and stacking durability. Recently, Optimus introduced a new Packaging Estimating module, featuring automated calculations for printing imposition, die-cutting, case packing, and palletization, enabling packaging manufacturers to effectively meet the growing demands of their clients while significantly shortening their time-to-market. This suite of tools not only enhances efficiency but also promotes sustainable practices within the industry.
