Description

Layerwise serves as a desktop workspace powered by AI, enabling users to create, preview, and deploy comprehensive web applications seamlessly. Within its chat-based interface, users can articulate their application requirements, select an appropriate AI model, and refine the automatically generated code while observing a real-time local preview. The platform encompasses a code editor and incorporates essential features such as a built-in database, email authentication, deployment capabilities, analytics, and log management. Notably, users maintain ownership of their source files stored on their local machines, with additional functionalities available to connect to GitHub or to export projects as ZIP files. Applications developed can be launched on a Layerwise-provided URL or linked to a custom domain, enhancing accessibility. Tailored for developers, independent creators, and teams, Layerwise supports the entire journey of web application development, from initial prototyping to final deployment. Furthermore, it offers project-specific tools that facilitate the editing and review of generated files, all while integrating smoothly with the conversational workflow. Designed as proprietary software, Layerwise is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux, operating under a freemium model that caters to various user needs and preferences. This flexibility makes Layerwise an appealing choice for those looking to innovate in web application development.

Description

Something is an AI-powered application development platform designed to build and launch functional software from natural-language instructions. A user starts by describing what an application should accomplish rather than manually assembling its technical architecture. The platform then chooses appropriate AI models, connects required services, creates the frontend, and deploys the finished application. Something supports connections to more than 1,000 third-party tools such as Gmail, Slack, Stripe, Notion, GitHub, and Linear. Developers and nontechnical users can grant access to these services while retaining the ability to revoke connections later. The platform can build more than simple chat interfaces, including applications with user accounts, persistent data, voice capabilities, workflows, and purpose-built visual experiences. Voice applications can include speech recognition and spoken responses, along with dedicated phone functionality for customer-facing use cases. Finished applications are hosted automatically and can be published to real URLs or pushed into GitHub repositories for further development. Something is intended to reduce the time and technical effort required to move from an application idea to deployed, usable software.
