In summary, OKD represents a highly opinionated version of Kubernetes. At its core, Kubernetes consists of various software and architectural patterns designed to manage applications on a large scale. While we incorporate some features directly into Kubernetes through modifications, the majority of our enhancements come from "preinstalling" a wide array of software components known as Operators into the deployed cluster. These Operators manage the over 100 essential elements of our platform, including OS upgrades, web consoles, monitoring tools, and image-building functionalities.
