Description

Introducing a top-tier, customizable system for managing water quality and field sample data. Streamline your sample data management processes while fostering community awareness of watershed health. For four decades, we've been dedicated to developing data management solutions, collaborating with field technicians and water quality managers to eliminate obstacles in data collection, accessibility, and utilization. The WISKI platform features the KiWQM module, which significantly improves the management, evaluation, and reporting of distinct environmental sampling activities. This integrated system provides data managers with a consistent flow of high-quality data from both discrete sampling events and ongoing monitoring networks. Water quality experts now benefit from enhanced automation, stringent quality control, advanced data visualization, in-depth analysis, and robust decision support. Regardless of the timescale for monitoring water, environmental conditions, or weather patterns, our technological advancements ensure your organization harmonizes its datasets effectively. In this way, we empower communities to engage with and protect their local water resources.

Description

In 2001, the SURDEV software suite was created through a collaboration among the International Institute for Land Reclamation and Improvement (ILRI), Wageningen Environmental Research, and the Institute of Land and Water Management of the Catholic University of Leuven (ILWM) in Belgium. This suite includes three specialized programs: BASDEV, designed for level basins; BORDEV, tailored for sloping borders; and FURDEV, which focuses on graded furrows. Surface irrigation utilizes the force of gravity to effectively distribute water across agricultural fields. As gravity pulls the water, it traverses the fields from one end to another, allowing it to seep into the soil during its flow. Among the various surface irrigation methods, the most prevalent include level basins (which may or may not have level furrows), sloping borders, and sloping furrows, all aimed at efficiently delivering water. The primary goal of these irrigation techniques is to ensure that crops receive water in precise amounts, at optimal times, and in a consistent manner, which ultimately fosters a uniform crop growth while minimizing water wastage. Furthermore, the careful application of these practices can lead to improved agricultural productivity and sustainability.
