Description
SafeCAN is a patented ultra-lightweight network security solution designed to authenticate and encrypt communications between electronic control units (ECUs) without introducing any network overhead. It ensures the integrity of the sender and the data for each message, effectively preventing unauthorized ECUs and physical tampering from compromising the system. Additionally, SafeCAN secures in-vehicle communications to thwart potential over-the-air (OTA) malware attacks. The innovative approach of SafeCAN allows for the exchange of encryption keys during the manufacturing process, eliminating the need for key swaps while the vehicle is operating, which is a common issue with other solutions. Unlike competing technologies that increase network traffic by sending extra validation messages, SafeCAN cleverly embeds validation information within the redundant bits of each message, thus avoiding additional payloads. Furthermore, its backward compatibility means there are no required modifications to the ECU application, network protocols, or chipset, making implementation smooth and straightforward. Its hardware-agnostic design ensures that it can be integrated without altering the existing message format, and importantly, it will not add strain to already congested vehicle networks while providing robust security. This makes SafeCAN an ideal choice for enhancing vehicle security without compromising performance.
Description
VigiaOT serves as a solution for the identification of operational technology (OT) assets and the management of vulnerabilities within industrial facilities. The Solo editions are designed to operate on technicians' laptops running Windows or macOS, employing read-only active scans to detect industrial devices while gathering information such as vendor names, models, firmware versions, protocols, and open ports. After identifying the devices, technicians can assess their findings, keep a detailed local inventory, categorize network exposure, and export these inventory details as needed. The Solo Analytics feature enhances this process by correlating the data with sources like the National Vulnerability Database (NVD), ENISA’s EU Vulnerability Database (EUVD), and the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) list, while also prioritizing the findings and providing a structured workflow for reviewing vulnerabilities. For larger deployments across multiple workstations, Site Analytics compiles inventories on an on-premises VIGIA-IOTBOX appliance, and optional modules can facilitate passive monitoring for devices that connect to IT networks, alongside AI-driven analysis of manufacturer advisories. This product is specifically designed for industrial operations and security teams focused on the protection of OT and IT networks within plant environments, ensuring a comprehensive approach to asset management and security. By integrating both active and passive monitoring capabilities, VigiaOT enhances the overall security framework of industrial operations.
