Description
Intrinsic Core is a robotics platform that is open source, designed to streamline and accelerate the development and deployment of robotics applications from initial concept to final implementation. It offers a suite of pre-built functionalities for essential robotics tasks such as sensor-driven control, perception, motion planning, grasp planning, and simulation, alleviating the need for developers to create a comprehensive stack independently. The platform features a ready-made software environment that integrates various services and capabilities, including simulation tools, a digital twin, and a hardware-agnostic real-time control framework that facilitates intricate integrations. Intrinsic Core is designed to work seamlessly with ROS and the Open Robotics Suite, merging standard workspaces, message definitions, Gazebo simulation, and readily available ROS-compatible services. Its robust features include precise detection of 3D object poses through NVIDIA FoundationPose, force-controlled manipulation using real sensor input, automated planning of collision-free trajectories, and a variety of other advanced functionalities. This combination of tools and capabilities empowers developers to innovate more efficiently within the robotics domain.
Description
PyBullet is a versatile Python library designed for simulating physics, robotics, and deep reinforcement learning, and it is rooted in the Bullet Physics SDK. This module enables users to load articulated bodies from various formats such as URDF and SDF, while also offering capabilities like forward dynamics simulation, inverse dynamics computation, kinematics, collision detection, and ray intersection queries. In addition to its robust simulation features, PyBullet includes rendering options, such as a CPU renderer and OpenGL visualization, along with support for virtual reality headsets. It finds applications in numerous research initiatives, including Assistive Gym, which utilizes PyBullet to facilitate physical human-robot interactions and advance assistive robotics for collaborative and physically supportive tasks. Additionally, the Kubric project serves as an open-source Python framework that collaborates with PyBullet and Blender to create photorealistic scenes complete with detailed annotations, demonstrating its ability to scale to extensive projects that can be distributed across thousands of machines. This combination of functionalities makes PyBullet an essential tool for researchers and developers working in the fields of robotics and simulation.
