By utilizing hydraulic models, InfoWater connects network modeling with ArcGIS, offering reliable and economical engineering solutions for the design, planning, and management of your systems. Fully embedded within the Esri ArcGIS framework, InfoWater is an essential tool for users of Esri ArcGIS Pro, as well as for those in stand-alone settings and AutoCAD environments. Have you ever wondered which water distribution assets could cause the most disruption if they were to fail? InfoWater efficiently evaluates the potential impact of asset failures on customer service levels, enabling you to prioritize critical components for capital budgeting. Moreover, InfoWater addresses the gaps between sensors and telemetry to enhance proactive event management and optimize system performance. Regardless of whether your network consists of 100 or over 100,000 pipes, InfoWater equips you with the capabilities to swiftly model and analyze your system comprehensively. This versatility makes it an invaluable resource for anyone involved in water distribution management.
Description
In 2001, the SURDEV software suite was created through a collaboration among the International Institute for Land Reclamation and Improvement (ILRI), Wageningen Environmental Research, and the Institute of Land and Water Management of the Catholic University of Leuven (ILWM) in Belgium. This suite includes three specialized programs: BASDEV, designed for level basins; BORDEV, tailored for sloping borders; and FURDEV, which focuses on graded furrows. Surface irrigation utilizes the force of gravity to effectively distribute water across agricultural fields. As gravity pulls the water, it traverses the fields from one end to another, allowing it to seep into the soil during its flow. Among the various surface irrigation methods, the most prevalent include level basins (which may or may not have level furrows), sloping borders, and sloping furrows, all aimed at efficiently delivering water. The primary goal of these irrigation techniques is to ensure that crops receive water in precise amounts, at optimal times, and in a consistent manner, which ultimately fosters a uniform crop growth while minimizing water wastage. Furthermore, the careful application of these practices can lead to improved agricultural productivity and sustainability.
