Compare FarmHQ vs. FieldForge

FarmHQ serves as a mobile-oriented, AI-driven office solution tailored specifically for livestock farms in the UK. This innovative product uniquely combines essential livestock compliance tasks, such as the registration of births, movements, and deaths with BCMS, LIS, ScotEID, EIDCymru, and NIFAIS, alongside a comprehensive Red Tractor-compliant medicine book and audit readiness tracking, all within a single platform rather than relying on multiple disparate tools. A standout feature of FarmHQ is its ability to transform a single photograph of a veterinary receipt into both a medicine book entry and a VAT-coded expense line, streamlining the record-keeping process. The integrated AI assistant, known as Farmer Joe, utilizes information from both datasets to provide insights that would be impossible to obtain from separate systems, such as determining the actual cost per treatment, and can even create entries from voice notes or photos. Importantly, no information is submitted or filed without the explicit approval of the farmer. Designed with an offline-first approach, the application ensures that records are saved immediately and synced once a connection is reestablished, making it ideal for farms that experience limited mobile network coverage. The app is accessible across iOS, Android, and web platforms and is currently undergoing a pilot phase with foundational farms in the UK, aiming to revolutionize the way livestock farms manage their operations. By centralizing these crucial functions, FarmHQ not only enhances efficiency but also empowers farmers to maintain better oversight of their compliance and financial responsibilities.

FieldForge is an online application designed for managing various aspects of farms and ranches, including equipment, livestock, supplies, maps, and daily tasks. It allows users to maintain profiles for their equipment, track maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts, along with reminders, while also keeping detailed records of animal health, breeding, feed, and pasture management. The platform features farm maps that help organize fields and assets efficiently. Through GPS technology, tractor sessions can be recorded, providing visual guidance along AB-lines, though it does not offer autosteer functionality. Additionally, tools for documenting and capturing photos are available to enhance record-keeping, and the integrated AI features assist in reviewing documents and records, although users are advised to verify any suggestions before implementation. Depending on the subscription plan, users can access a variety of features such as enhanced record-keeping, detailed reports and export options, management of multiple farms, team role assignments, and allocation of work orders. This web-based application is compatible with browsers on both mobile devices and computers, making it easily accessible. While certain records and GPS data can be temporarily stored without an internet connection, it is important to note that FieldForge does not operate entirely offline. This comprehensive tool caters to the needs of farmers, ranchers, homesteaders, and mixed agricultural operations, streamlining their record management and overall workflows. With its user-friendly interface and robust features, FieldForge aims to enhance productivity and organization in the agricultural sector.
