Description
The Facility Manager (FM) serves as an event-driven, real-time solution for managing alarms. It offers a user-friendly and robust platform for creating, monitoring, and managing alarm groups. With a simple drag-and-drop interface, users can configure alarm groups by utilizing point data from various devices and networks. Each point can be tailored with specific activation settings to dictate when an alarm group is triggered. Additionally, multiple contacts are designated for each alarm group, ensuring prompt communication during an activation event. These contacts can receive notifications through several methods such as email, fax, SMS, or printed alerts. Moreover, the inclusion of a scripting language that utilizes SNMP empowers users to develop custom message types sent through modem commands. This strategy emphasizes event-driven processing for rapid and efficient functionality. When real-time conditions change, an alarm group is promptly activated, and notifications are dispatched immediately, allowing for seamless compatibility with existing Genesis and MAXIM products. This flexibility enhances the overall effectiveness of alarm management in diverse operational environments.
Description
Venta4Net™ serves as a networked version of the widely used VentaFax software, designed for the transmission and reception of fax and voice messages through either a fax modem via traditional telephony or through the Internet using IP telephony. This innovative solution allows users to send and receive faxes and voice communications from any computer connected to a local or global network, provided that the client-side software is installed. The messages that clients create are processed through a designated server, which is one of the networked computers running the server variant of Venta4Net. It is essential for this server to have a modem or multiple modems linked to telephone lines or to be connected to the Internet for VoIP functionality. Additionally, the server can function as an answering machine, capable of receiving both fax and voice messages. Depending on user configurations, these incoming messages can be directed to specific individuals or distributed to multiple users. Once received, users have the option to manually forward these messages to additional recipients if needed, enhancing communication flexibility across the board. This comprehensive system streamlines the management of fax and voice communications within a networked environment.
