Description
The Effective Lifelong Learning Inventory (ELLI) evaluates Learning Power, based on research conducted by a team at the University of Bristol that involved over 100,000 participants worldwide. This assessment has identified seven fundamental dimensions of learning, which have been further refined into 17 key habits and behaviors. ELLI not only facilitates the management and tracking of learning enhancements but also fosters an environment conducive to lifelong education. Many learners may have transformed significantly over time, and ELLI profiling can uncover these changes, provide targeted interventions, and monitor progress effectively. By eliminating uncertainty and reducing the time teachers spend observing how students are engaging with their studies, ELLI addresses both the learning process and the content being taught. In an era where technology and remote interactions redefine educational experiences, even seasoned educators face challenges in gauging student engagement. ELLI has been validated through research as an essential instrument for evaluating new students, ensuring that educational methods evolve alongside their needs. This tool ultimately empowers educators to better understand and support the diverse learning journeys of their students.
Description
SAEBRS serves as a comprehensive screener for social-emotional behavior, tailored for K–12 educational institutions to evaluate students' social interactions, academic performance, and emotional health. Within a brief survey lasting just 1 to 3 minutes, administered by teachers for each student (or 3 to 5 minutes for the self-assessment version known as mySAEBRS), it assesses both the lack of negative behaviors and the presence of constructive, pro-social skills, thus providing a holistic perspective on a student’s readiness to engage in learning. The screener features a "Total Behavior" scale along with three specific sub-scales: Social Behavior (which examines skills like understanding social cues, empathy, and appropriate interaction), Academic Behavior (focusing on factors such as class readiness, attention span, work habits, and participation), and Emotional Behavior (analyzing aspects like emotional regulation, responses to stress, and overall internal wellness). This tool empowers administrators, educators, and support personnel to evaluate entire classes, grades, or schools, enabling them to filter and scrutinize results across various district, grade, or demographic categories. By utilizing this systematic approach, schools can better identify the social-emotional needs of their students and implement timely interventions.
