Users can easily input their dispatch lists, packing lists, or Excel data, and the AI-driven manifest import comprehensively processes quantities, dimensions, and weights, standardizes units, and organizes the cargo for optimal planning. The Carton Fit feature identifies the optimal number of products that can fit into a shipping carton or crate, calculating the required boxes and optional weight thresholds. The Freight component skillfully organizes mixed cargo into highly efficient 3D load plans, taking into account actual geometry, orientation, stacking regulations, and pipe nesting as necessary. Additionally, interactive 3D visualizations and clear 2D cross-sections provide loading teams with a clear placement order, while analyses on center-of-gravity, payload capacity, weight distribution, and axle balance are crucial for ensuring safe and stable shipments. LoadPlanner CAD is a newly developed software that retains the core functionalities of its predecessor, LoadPlanner, while being tailored for contemporary use within a 3D matrix compatible with AutoCAD. This updated system maintains full compatibility with Ships Files generated by the previous LoadPlanner 4.1 version. Originally launched in 1986, LoadPlanner underwent a comprehensive reprogramming in 2012 to align with modern programming languages and enhance IT security. The software is structured around six primary systems, including a File Explorer that facilitates system setup, monitors recent files, and provides preview windows for various file types, such as PDFs. Additionally, it features a database that catalogues ship names along with their corresponding IMO numbers, ensuring swift access for users. Given that many users frequently travel and store files locally, a replication system allows for the seamless synchronization of all local project files with a server. Furthermore, the software supports cargo planning and management, crane simulations, and stability calculations, making it a comprehensive tool for maritime logistics.
