Compare Clox vs. Zeus

Clox is time tracking made for hourly trades and field crews. That means electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs, roofers, landscapers, general contractors, and any team working out in the field instead of an office. Workers clock in from their phone with one tap. If there's no signal on site, the punch still records and syncs automatically once the phone reconnects. Every hour gets tagged to a job and task, so you always know what a job actually cost you in labor. You can also turn on geofencing for any job site, which blocks workers from clocking in unless they're actually there. If a crew shares one device, they can punch in using a PIN on a tablet kiosk, with an optional photo taken at clock-in. Managers approve the week's hours from a web browser, and Clox automatically handles overtime, breaks, lunch rules, and different pay rates. When it's time to run payroll, you can export directly into QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, ADP RUN, ADP Workforce Now, Paychex Flex, or Gusto. No manual re-entry needed. Every punch is signed and cannot be altered without it showing, and you can verify any record. Pricing is simple. One plan with everything included: $29 a month for your first 3 users, then $6 per user after that. Try it free for 14 days. No credit card required, and there's a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Zeus is a field service app for independent trades and small crews. Every address keeps its own record: past visits, what you fixed, the quote, the invoice and what you noticed for next time. The app works from a database on the phone, so you can create a job, run a checklist and log your work with no signal, and it syncs when you are back in range. Quotes, invoices, scheduling, client records, signatures and export are on the Free Plan, which is not a trial and does not expire.
