Description
CloudConnexa is OpenVPN's cloud-delivered Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) platform that also delivers core Security Service Edge (SSE) capabilities, letting organizations replace legacy VPN infrastructure with a fully managed, cloud-native service. Signing up provisions a private overlay network, conceptually a virtual distributed router and next-generation firewall, spanning 30+ global regions connected in a full-mesh topology for low-latency, redundant routing between points of presence.
Private infrastructure joins this network through Connectors: Network Connectors attach entire private networks (offices, data centers, VPCs/VNets in AWS or Azure), while Host Connectors attach individual servers or IoT devices. Hosts run an OpenVPN client to expose specific services. Remote users, sites, and cloud resources connect over encrypted OpenVPN tunnels, with Data Channel Offload (DCO) support for higher throughput on Linux.
Access is governed by identity-based, role- and group-based policies, with SAML, LDAP, and SCIM integration so admins scope users to only the resources they need. Application domain-based routing cloaks real IP addresses, enabling microsegmentation without exposing server infrastructure.
Built-in Cyber Shield security bundles DNS content filtering across 43+ categories, intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS), Device Identity Verification & Enforcement (DIVE) for posture checks, and two-factor authentication. Admins get audit logging, SIEM integration, and alerting for visibility and troubleshooting.
It's all managed from a single cloud dashboard, giving organizations scalable, zero-trust connectivity without operating their own VPN servers.
Description
The Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) is essential for branch offices, retail sites, and mobile personnel as your organization's shift to the cloud alters how users connect to applications and how security is provided. To ensure users and applications are secure while controlling data access from any location, it is crucial to implement effective solutions. Traditionally, organizations have relied on multiple point products, which tend to increase expenses and complexity while creating vulnerabilities in security measures. Fortunately, a superior solution exists in the form of SASE, with Palo Alto Networks leading the charge through its Prisma Access platform. Prisma Access offers a robust combination of networking and security features via a specifically designed cloud-based infrastructure. This innovative system utilizes a unified cloud framework that provides protection from more than 100 locations across 76 countries worldwide. Moreover, clients can oversee their security policies using dedicated cloud instances, ensuring that their traffic remains isolated for enhanced privacy and security. In this rapidly evolving digital landscape, embracing SASE can empower organizations to streamline their operations while fortifying their security posture.
