Perform realistic assessments by employing intricate device models that replicate authentic scenarios. Make use of the device simulation web application to set up and execute your simulations. Furthermore, connect and oversee your industrial assets using industry standards like OPC-UA through the Azure IoT connected factory solution accelerator, ensuring enhanced operational efficiency and insights. With these tools at your disposal, you can seamlessly integrate and optimize your IoT initiatives for better outcomes.
Description
SIM-101 is an advanced protocol simulator designed for Windows that adheres to the IEC 60870-5-101 standard, created by SIM SYSTEMS specifically for SCADA-related activities such as testing, commissioning, maintenance, training, and troubleshooting. It offers various operational modes including Master, Slave, and Monitor, allowing users to simulate control stations, Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), or passively monitor existing communications. Among its prominent features are the ability to operate in both balanced and unbalanced modes, support for serial and TCP/IP connections, automatic generation of point databases, real-time visualization of traffic, protocol decoding capabilities, graphical trend analysis, command testing functions, and both general and counter interrogation options. Additionally, it includes clock synchronization, event generation, customizable Class 1 and Class 2 buffers, support for both IPv4 and IPv6, as well as options for persistent packet recording. SIM-101 proves to be highly effective for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), interoperability assessments, SCADA system migration projects, device development tasks, communication diagnostics, and the recreation of field scenarios without needing any physical hardware. By leveraging SIM-101, users can streamline their SCADA processes and improve overall system reliability and efficiency.
