Apromon is a web-based software solution designed for assessing the performance of PID loop controls, including both primary and Advanced Process Control (APC) loops. It offers a comprehensive evaluation for individual loops, cascade configurations, APC loops, and even for signals that only have a process variable (PV) without a connected controller. One of Apromon's standout features is its ability to automatically translate various types of controllers—such as those for flow, pressure, temperature, and level—into a unified “grade” factor, similar to the scores teachers assign to students during evaluations. This grading system ranges from 0 to 100, where 100 represents optimal performance and 0 signifies the lowest. Furthermore, Apromon operates continuously, ensuring that performance metrics are consistently calculated and stored without any interruptions, unlike some competing products that may overlook certain tags during monitoring. MPCPy is a Python library designed to support the testing and execution of occupant-integrated model predictive control (MPC) within building systems.
