Description
Android Acquirer is a desktop application designed for the consent-driven logical acquisition and analysis of Android devices, such as smartphones and tablets. It utilizes the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) along with a companion application to gather specific data from the device, which includes messages, contacts, call logs, multimedia files, applications, and various artifacts. Forensic professionals can assess the retrieved data, maintain detailed records of the acquisition process, and generate comprehensive PDF reports that include chain-of-custody documentation and SHA-256 hash values. This software is specifically aimed at digital forensic examiners, law enforcement agencies, legal professionals, corporate investigators, and others who are engaged in authorized examinations of mobile devices. A complimentary version of the software allows for device recognition and inventory assessments, while the Forensic Edition offers complete data extraction and detailed reporting capabilities. Both Windows and Linux versions are available for download. Additionally, it provides examiners with the necessary tools for establishing documented and repeatable procedures in consent-based mobile device investigations, enhancing the reliability and integrity of the forensic process.
Description
ProofSnap serves as a platform for capturing and verifying digital evidence tailored for legal professionals, investigators, journalists, and compliance teams who need to preserve online materials effectively. Its extensions for Chrome and Edge are designed to capture various pages currently viewed in the user's browser, which includes not only standard web pages but also logged-in accounts and chat sessions. Through its web dashboard and REST API, users can capture public URLs either individually, in batches, on a scheduled basis, or triggered by content changes. Each evidence package generated can consist of a comprehensive full-page screenshot, along with HTML, text, metadata, and network records, and is accompanied by a SHA-256 manifest, an RSA-4096 signature, a timestamp, and detailed chain-of-custody information. Users have the ability to verify these packages, perform comparisons of captures, redact sensitive information, certify file hashes, and manage evidence within legal matters while ensuring legal holds are in place. Additionally, plans may include optional features such as video capture and qualified eIDAS timestamps where applicable. A remote MCP server facilitates connections with compatible AI assistants to streamline capturing workflows, enhancing the overall efficiency of the process. Furthermore, the dashboard, API, and extension each operate under distinct accounts and plans, allowing for personalized user experiences.
