Akamai Prolexic is a DDoS protection solution that helps organizations protect internet-facing infrastructure from attacks that can cause outages, service degradation, and network congestion. The platform supports cloud, on-premises, and hybrid deployments and can operate continuously or be activated on demand depending on an organization's requirements. Incoming traffic is routed through Prolexic, where mitigation controls inspect traffic, identify malicious activity, remove attack traffic, and forward clean traffic to the customer's infrastructure.
