3. NetID - All on-line students are assigned a university network
identification code (NetID) and password. This information is sent by
USPS
mail to new students from the Office of Continuing Engineering
Education. Returning students retain the NetID and password previously
assigned to them. You may begin I2CS orientation (see below) once you
have your NetID and password. If you have not received your letter by
the first day of class, contact Mary Weaver (weaver2@staff.uiuc.edu) at
(800) 252-1360 extension #3-4454 or (217) 333-4454.
4. I2CS Orientation - Students should complete the on-line tutorial
at http://i2cs.cs.uiuc.edu. This tutorial gives an overview of the
on-line program, the software required to participate, and various
passwords used in the program.
5. Email Contact - ALL email correspondence with TAs, instructors
and the CS Department will be done via your university email address.
This is the
one and only correspondence that will be sent to any other account. The
web tutorial listed above will explain how to setup your UIUC email
account. Your email address will be your NetID@uiuc.edu. It is
important to check this account often throughout the semester.
