    I did have to further edit his sysdep.cc, though. Specifically, I had to comment out the line "void exit();", add #include ,add #include and move the line "extern int errno" from ReadFromSocket out of the function, making it global. - Andrew Weiler (aweiler at uiuc.edu)

    3. NetID - All on-line students are assigned a university network identification code (NetID) and password. This information is sent by USPS mail to new students from the Office of Continuing Engineering Education. Returning students retain the NetID and password previously assigned to them. You may begin I2CS orientation (see below) once you have your NetID and password. If you have not received your letter by the first day of class, contact Mary Weaver (weaver2@staff.uiuc.edu) at (800) 252-1360 extension #3-4454 or (217) 333-4454.

    5. Email Contact - ALL email correspondence with TAs, instructors and the CS Department will be done via your university email address. This is the one and only correspondence that will be sent to any other account. The web tutorial listed above will explain how to setup your UIUC email account. Your email address will be your NetID@uiuc.edu. It is important to check this account often throughout the semester.
