Journal Journal: Contact hours

Looks I might be teaching more than thirty (30) hours a week.
I can only do this because I know all the stuff I'm teaching because of years of self-study. Is the quality going to be good? Depends what you mean. Lectures are for generating enthusiasm not learning much.

Started playing with a programmable calculator http://hp.com/hpinfo/abouthp/histnfacts/museum/pes onalsystems/0021/ in 1973. Moved on to FORTRAN. Borrowed a book from the Library and read it overnight. Wrote graph plotting programs. Was converted to "Structured Programming" by http://www-staff.it.uts.edu.au/~don/ Designed and build my first computer from chips in 1976. A bit like http://syssrc.com/museum/html/altair.html except it used a 2650I http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signetics_2650 I wrote a few programs in assembly language. Since played with about 500 programming languages.
