fm6's Journal: Screw Farscape

More proof that media companies don't know anything about their own product. The SciFi channel touts Farscape as their flagship show. And they would seem to be pretty serious about it. They've even ordered two whole seasons in advance. Except...

When they wind up their original episodes in the fall (presumably they don't want to go up against the "real" networks) they always hold back a few. A common practice, probably to make sure they have a whole bunch to show at once even if there are production delays. But really dumb in this case.

If any of the suits at USA Networks actually watched their own product, they'd know that Farscape has long and complex multi-episode stories. Which gets totally screwed up if you have to wait three months between episodes. The dramatic tension gets lost, you forget plot details, yada yada.

Did I say three months? That was last year. This year, reruns until the middle of April.

Hey people, wake up. You want people to be loyal to your product? Then show them some damned respect!
