Since we're on the subject of confessions, I just thought I'd take this time to confess that I post under multiple accounts. For your clicking pleasure, I list them below:

• bonch (obviously)
• Overly Critical Guy (back from the dead!)
• rd_syringe (yeah, I'm really a theoretical physicist!)
• bwy (again, obvious)
• As Seen On TV (not so obvious, but there you go)

So, there you go. I feel much better having gotten that off my chest. And of course, when I go and create more accounts I'll be sure to post an update!

Since I'm feeling particularly dirty today, I feel that I should come clean about some of the anonymous detritus that I've contributed to Slashdot over the course of my postings here. Mostly I've posted these anonymously because although I might believe in some of it, I'm all too aware of the Karma hits I would take if I posted these non-anonymously. What can I say? I live to incite!

The classic Lies, opinions, and half-truths (as well as the slightly modified Slashdot lies, opinions, and half-truths) is mine, and I continue to use it (albeit slightly modified) to get karma on the cheap these days.

Another one in that vein is Manual for the Modern Slashdotter. I have to admit, I wrote that one before I clawed my way back into positive karma and so it has a decidedly bitter tone. Of course now I've come to realize that by posting that stuff openly, I can get karma by the boatload.

The one I'm most proud of, however, is Song of the piracy apologist. This one has been the source of more stupid and pointless flamewars than I can remember. :) Of course I know that the arguments are lame and even the counteraguments have been refuted over and over again, but, as I've said before, I like to inflame.

Probably the one that I'm most ashamed of, however, is the anonymous rants that I append to every post made by twitter. Yeah, I realize that this is pretty low, even for a troll such as I. But I feel that since people properly mod me down as a troll (when I'm trolling, that is), that he should suffer some of that pain too!

There's more of these anonymous rants that I post, but I can't recall them at the moment. If I do, I'll be sure to post another confession. :) In the meantime, I just want to say a great big Fuck You to the moderators. I've gotten excellent karma again and there's nothing you can do about it. ;)

Yeah, I know that I complain about people trolling me when I know damn well that I'm the one doing the trolling. I know that I'm pussing out by not allowing comments in my journal, but hey, that's life. You don't get to respond to my lies and half-truths--and that's just too bad.

I also lie about having a rapport with CmdrTaco even though I bad mouth him and Slashdot every chance I get (BTW, remember Taco's comment about the iPod? Didn't want you to forget about that!). I also know that once Taco implements the new moderation system, I won't be able to game the system the way I do now--it's all just false bravado.

So once again, thanks for listening. Unburdening myself this way is quite refreshing!
