We still have no idea what the heck is happening with my metabolism.

The latest theory, based on recent responses to experimental medication, is both Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia and some high degree of Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome. One masculinises even 46xx people, the other feminises even 46xy ones. Odds of having both, approxumately 170 million to one against. So it's probably something else.

Intersex, Transsex, what the heck?

To see what happened to me, go to Annus Mirabilis, a blog entry on what happens when a 47 year old father has "his" body feminise underneath "him".

It's probably not the only such story on the net: but it's probably the only one that's factual. The other cases we know about, such as Kathy Noble's, took years, not weeks/months.

Ah Me. Here I am, March 2007, and in March 2005 I'd never heard if "Intersex" (even though I'd been guardedly diagnosed with Androgen Insensitivity). Transition - from a middle aged "guy" with "undervirilised fertile male syndrome" and the body of an ex-rugby player into some kind of barrel-chested, thickset, bullnecked "man in a dress" - No Thanks, I'd pass. Or rather, I wouldn't "Pass", I'd be "Clocked", seen as a freak rather than a normal woman.

Then something happened (cue scene from "2010") "Something... wonderful.". Not inexplicable, but it requires 2 different Intersex conditions and has to be triggered by a particular statin (anti-cholesterol drug). We think.
