Journal Journal: MusicWorks Counter-Debate

In my home town of Glasgow, Scotland a music industry event is scheduled to take place at the end of October/start of November. It's called MusicWorks and many of the big players in the industry will be reperesented. One of the events scheduled to take place is a "debate" on the implications of technology and widespread access to the Internet on musicians and people involved in the music biz. However, to get access to this event one must first sign up for the conference, and this is expensive enough to shut out virtually all of one side of the argument.

I've got connections which should mean that I might be able to organise an alternative and free debate on the topic in one of the city's music bars.

If I can make it happen, I need to get the word out and try to invite people with differing views. Maybe I could get a few local bands to play afterwards as well.
