Journal Journal: Thousands Secretly Sterilized in the USA

Check out this ABC article describing how from the early 1900s to the 1970s, some 65,000 men and women were sterilized in the USA, many without their knowledge, as part of a government eugenics program to keep so-called undesirables from reproducing. Pretty heavy stuff.

Journal Journal: Army Study Criticizes War on Terror's Scope

From the article: A scathing new report published by the Army War College broadly criticizes the Bush administration's handling of the war on terrorism, accusing it of taking a detour into an "unnecessary" war in Iraq and pursuing an "unrealistic" quest against terrorism that may lead to U.S. wars with states that pose no serious threat.

Journal Journal: Stumbled over Burkhard Heim

Regarding a promissing theory combining general relativity and quantum physics I recently stumbled over the theory of Burkhard Heim and it's application to space propulsion.

It apparently is the only theory which yields remarkably exact theoretical values for the masses, the resonances, and the mean lifetimes of elementary particles, as well as the Sommerfeld fine structure constant.

Journal Journal: Hot topics of the 21st century

I grew very bored at work so I got some time to research some topics that I belive will form the central topics for the 21st century.

Self replicating universal nano assemblers

Real time, interactive, photorealistic CGI in 1080p

Telomerase research

Space elevator

Theory M or the Grand Unified Theorie

Hope to find more time to elaborate on this topics. Short sneek peek preview: In combination I belive that will tackle issues like materialistic scarcity, maturing the human race, the be all end all of entertainment, longlevity that borders on inmortality, new wave of exploration that will rival only the conquest of the Americas in the 17th and 18th century.
