First lie:
"I did not have sex with that woman."
Second lie:
"Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised."
Yet, nobody is talking seriously about drawing up articles of impeachment against Duh!bya. It must be nice to have your own party dominating Congress, and have the media, particularly Fox News Channel, wrapped around your pinky.
Hmm...one President couldn't keep it in his pants, the other one couldn't level with the American People about why he was sending our sons and daughters into harm's way in a foreign land. Which is the greater offense? A personal peccadillo or going to war on false pretenses. You have a little less than a year-and-a-half to think about it.
As Frank Zappa was fond of saying at his concerts, "Don't forget to vote."
A postscript: this commentary by John Dean (yes, THAT John Dean) which appeared on the CNN.Com site on June 6th is very, very interesting and gives a Constitutional analysis of, if George W. Bush did knowingly misrepresent the facts, whether that misrepresentation rises to the level of an impeachable offence. Take a look:
