They want someone who has certifications in "Veritas Cluster Manager 6.03.5.3.1" but if you have a cert for "Veritas Cluster Manager 5.9.48.49" they put your resume in the "round" filing bin.

They don't want to train people, they want ones who already have work 5 years of work experience using the exact version of the software which they currently have. And woe to the applicant which knows a competitor's product which does 95% of the same thing using the same concepts which a little hands on experience would fix within a few weeks (less than the time it would take for that person to figure out the network and system layout).

But that is just my take, maybe others have had different experience. From my looking around most job postings essentially state to not bother applying if you don't have those exact things on your resume, which creates a whole new issue with resume padding, something even CEO's are guilty of doing because they too would have been files in the round bin.

The reason the current TSA agents do not need to do that is that they are technically federal law enforcement, which are exempt from state and local laws in pursuant to their work. As a private company, they would be subject to state and local laws, and if the local DA decides to prosecute them for sexual assault, he/she can do so. In fact, several DAs have already tried to do just that, but were dismissed...

Why is it strange? NJ having one of the highest population densities of all states, and even higher than the state-wide density number shows due to about 1/4 of the state set aside as a national park, the pine barrens, where no new houses or developments can take place. This turns the 8,722 square miles really into only 6,722 square miles, and takes the population density from 1011 people/square mile to 1312 people/square mile. That is almost 5.5 times the population density of California!

So, there is no threat to the East Coast, because China is so good about not selling things for profit to other nations, like Iran, Syria, Libya....

You set some basic parameters, such as min/max filesizes to use, stepping size between files, how many processes/threads to use in the test, etc., etc.,... It will run a gambit of tests reading/writing files, sequential, random, varying read/write sizes, and sizes of the files it is creating. It outputs nice graphs so you can see where the peek performance values are in terms of the storage dealing with different sized files and read/write sizes.
