Journal: Slashdot at work

I work in a moderately busy IT shop. I have just been given a new role of overseeing the webservices for our department. This would be great if I knew ANYTHING about either sharepoint or asp. So, how do I take this "promotion"....a great learning experience and a chance to jump in with both feet, drink from a firehose and just make it happen. Or...I've been spending a lot more time on slashdot since the boss is out of the office. Hmmm...I really don't see the down side here.!!
