The inmates have taken over and ruined the asylum

I have two accounts here, one of which I'd completely forgotten I had until maybe a year or so ago (the other one). While my ID number isn't TINY, it's a far cry from most of the ones here.

I also have this account, which has a significantly higher ID. I post on each somewhat, but mostly I post on the other. Want to know the difference between the two accounts?

On this my karma is excellent. On the other one my karma is now terrible.

Why? I can only assume that it's because of jealousy over a relatively low number. I'm not one of those people that looks to curry favor by parroting the popular viewpoints, but at the same time I am a relatively decent poster. I've been known to throw a few elbows, but by no means are they trolls.

Anyhow, whatever. All I'm saying is that it's a disgusting indicator of the community's ethos and respect. I've done a lot of work for the open-source community and have helped in numerous EFF causes, things that this community supposedly espouses as good. But apparently my views are TERRIBLE.

What a joke. The spot that held Slashdot's bookmark is now empty. Goodbye.
