Programmer w/ 2 yrs xp looking for a job. no offers.

In fact, by saying I have 2 yrs experience, apparently I get lumped into a very large group of programmers. I keep getting sent offers for jobs that want someone with at least 7 years experience.
So apparently employers classify potential programmers into:
fresh blood out of college ( less than 2 yrs xp)
worthless trash (2 to 7 years experience)
Gods walking amongst mere mortals (over 7 years experience and guaranteed to be able to do anything you desire)

Never use information as a reference unless it is willing to stand up for what it's said.

Using wikipedia for a reference is bad. Not because it's wrong, but because it can be taken out of context.
For example: Some guy says that a particular programming language is [insert feature here] but he means "when you include these libraries."
Wikipedia editor skims over that and checks the box for that feature in their article comparing languages to each other.
You cite Wikipedia.
You're not wrong, Wikipedia's not wrong, He's not wrong, but your citation is, because you're cutting corners.

Except that APB is a phenomenal game. It was marketed incorrectly. It is a massively multiplayer shooter, but when people hear MMO, they immediately think RPG, grinds, and endgame. APB has no endgame, when you create your character right offr the bat you're given most everything you could want. you can even spend real-world dollars to get something like a high velocity round sniper rifle right off the bat, from another player. the money you spent goes to that player and they can actually sustain their playtime based on that. and since the developer got paid, they're fine with it.

Couple that with literally infinite customization options just counting the ability to create symbols and put them on your clothes as you see fit, along with your car, and what else could you ask for/

Get into a group and the game is fun on the first day you're playing, you don't have to grind for months to get the gear to compete.

And yet it bombed when review after review complained about: horrible one on one balance, lag, cheats, and a lack of stuff to do and repetitive missions.

The 'missions' were only there to get players to go up against each other, they were never intended to be the content.

The real reason it bombed is there was never an advertisement video that described the game properly. If they had said "This is your city, we're not going to tell you how to play, we're letting you decide how to run things." It would have done much better. Because then the reviewers and the players would have realized that the mission system was nothing more than a booster chair or training wheels.

The number came from word of mouth of someone who worked in the financial aid department of a university, so I suspect it might have been out of those universities that accept federal funding, not just outright all of them.

According to them, there is a desperate need to find as many students as possible to apply for financial aid so that the school gets more money. they literally make more for the school than anyone else, and they say it's that way with every university that accepts financial aid.

I don't really mind if you call bs on it, I doubted it for a long while but watching the financial aid offices in motion it's believable.

I'm still certain that their intention is not profit but control of their industry and that they will fight tooth and nail not to get profit but to hurt anyone who opposes them and their goals.

Someone should explain to them that while their time might be as valuable as $1000/hr or more, the common folk are not that way, so when they do stuff like this they're not even causing that much distress to the people who frustrate them.
Shouldn't there be a term for something like this? Like malicious prosecution? (or if that's taken, litigious assault) I mean these guys are literally picking up the judicial branch of the US and wielding it as a weapon against people who do not know of their rights. That's wrong and against the spirit of the law whether or not the law allows it.
