Stephen E. Ambrose died of lung cancer yesterday at the age of 66. Mr. Ambrose was the Best Selling author and historian of such books as Band of Brothers and D-Day June 6, 1944: The Climactic Battle of World War II. He was my favorite author because he wrote consistently about my favorite subject, WWII.
I had to go to the Emergency Room last night. I was suffering from chest pains all day so I left work early and went to the ER. They did all sorts of tests. EKG, Chest X-Rays, Blood tests but they couldn't find anything wrong which is good. But I still feel the paind and I don't know what they are. Everybody is all worried about me now which I don't like. I mean it is great that everyone cares about me but I hate making people worry. There are other things for people to worry about then little 'ol me.
MIT was awarded a five year $50 million dollar grant to develop a military uniform that would make soldiers invisible, grant super-human strength and provide instant medical treatment. Or better known in Quake 3 as the Invisibility, Quad Damage and Med-kit power-ups. The suits would be achieved by developing particle-sized materials and devices called "nanotechnoloy", nestled into the uniforms fabric. Supercharged shoes could release energy when soldiers jump, propelling them over a 20-foot wall. Or rocket jumping without the splash damage.
Moderator Access again. I am getting it like once every week
Timex Corporation is developing a watch which incorporates Speedpass technology embedded into it. McDonalds has also partnered with Speedpass with 400 stores in the Chicago area that accept speedpass. Now you can order a value meal like this "You will serve me a Big Mac Meal with a Coke!" (While waving your hand like a Jedi Knight using the Jedi Mind trick).
Because of this I think I am going to get the DVD and hope that the bonus material will have what I am looking for.
WinInformant has an interesting blurb about Windows 2000 Server being more secure then linux. According to their findings Windows 2000 server report about half as many security flaws then all the linux distros.
NORAD and NASA will help track Santa and his progress on Christmas. NORAD completed a seven minute test to detect Santas sleigh and Rudolphs red nose. You can check his progress by logging on. There will also be a hotline set up starting Christmas eve at 7 AM to annouce his progress. Interestly enough, Canadian CF-18's will be escorting Santa and his sleigh across the border to ensure that we do not mistake Santa as a Foe.
I finally got this downloaded and installed. What is with the Microsoft Bob main menu interface? Then you can pick the skin of your guy. What in sams hell are they doing while they are standing there. I thought they didn't allow gays in the military. They look like pretty boys.
The weapons look like they were drawn by little children. They are dispropotionate. And the hand that is holding the end of the barrel looks like a womans hand. Why not put red fingernail polish on.
The design of the map looks hideous. The walls are so thin in some places. The spectator mode is basically the ability to clip through walls. That still needs programming.
I don't see this demo being as great as the RtCW demo ever was. I played that demo for two months straight every night. This one I have already gotten sick of.
I rate this game a 3 out of 10. They need to improve the User Interface, Graphics and Controls. This game does an injustice to the Quake Engine.
I think that the team rushed this product out after seeing the success of RtCW. I hope they spend some more time on this game before releasing it or I don't see them making any money.

I submitted this two days ago. The story was promptly rejected.
I guess from now on I am going to multisubmit my submissions.
It's a naive, domestic operating system without any breeding, but I think you'll be amused by its presumption.
