Anders Behring Breivik, the Utøya shooter, is kept away from the other prisoners so they won't kill him. (A price tag has been put on his head) At the moment the prison is planning to build a high security department (article in norwegian) for him. So the problem is here but it's not as big as in the USA (yet).

Let's face it, any peaceful alien race probably has something like the prime directive in star trek and will go to extreme measures to hide their presence until we're developed enough to make contact. However, the fact that your argument is wrong does not invalidate your conclusion: If you live in or near a city, a major disaster hits and people suspect that you have canned food chances are that you will run out of bullets, will to kill or the part of your aiming that depends on luck* before the city runs out of people wanting your canned food.

They're the poster child for how the US has gotten "free speech" wrong. Take a look at Canada, or most European countries. We enjoy essentially free speech as well, but what WBC is doing would be seriously illegal, as hate speech, and picketing a fallen soldier's funeral with signs like they have would land them in jail in Canada.
In that case I'm certain that you rejoice in the free speech of North Korea and Saudi Arabia. The freedom to praise the communist party in North Korea and to tell how awesome Mohamed was in Saudi Arabia must warm your heart. Personally I find any definition of free speech that only include approved speech meaningless. Real freedom of speech includes the freedom to say things both people like you and those in power hates to hear. That includes the right to say that God hates fags and fag enablers or for that matter to say that that some sort of speech should be banned.
The moderates are leaving the Church entirely or gradually sliding into the more conservative sects. I'm not sure what's causing it, I just know the membership of "mainline" Protestant denominations is falling in the US, whereas the very conservative wings (Baptists, etc.) are swelling.
