Printing discs with printers that "can't do it

Officially, the Epson R2400 can't print on inkjet printable CDs and DVDs — if you want that functionality you need to get the Epson R1800. Officially the Epson 4000 can't print on discs either. I have personally tested both and assure you they can both do it just fine. Furthermore, this same technique is adaptable to the 2200, 4800, 7600, 7800, 9600, 9800 and even the 10000/10600. Really any printer that allows you to use rigid media thicker than 1.3mm (59mils/.059 inches) should work.
