False again. The value of the money didn't change, the purchasing power of the money changed. The paper is still worth $150,000 regardless of year. The purchasing power of $150,000 will go up or down as inflation and de-inflation change the purchasing power of the paper money.

Going back to when you grandfather was your age, that same $12 (assuming a $10 bill and 2 $1 bills) would still be worth $12 in todays economy. However, the purchasing power of $12 is vastly less today than it was 90 years ago.

Purchasing power is where we derive things like the CPI, so we can track how it changes over time.

I find it interesting that they categorize traditional business management roles in with computer science. Perhaps the university I went to was something of a novelty, but there were two distinctly different majors. One was Information Technology, and one was Computer Science. They were not even in the same college within the university. IT was more business (classes like managerial communications, data communications, and ITIL), while CS was programming.

I have watched people drift out of their lane and run lights and so on while holding that phone against their head. I have had to honk at them while slamming on the brakes because they decided to pull into my lane without looking to see if I was already there. I have wished that someone would take that damn phone away from them so they could drive without crashing into me!

I have had to do this to people who weren't holding phones to their head... more times than I care to count... it happens whether people talk on a phone or not.

It's even worse when on my motorcycle.

If a driver isn't paying attention anyway, it doesn't matter if they are talking on the phone or not.

The did what they told the customers they would do (IANAL, but whether or not the customer read the EULA is not up to Symantec, but when the customer agreed to that EULA, they were giving consent for Symantec to charge their card on a recurring basis), and now they are getting fined for it? That seems slightly out of whack to me...

For all those people living in the greater Portland area, who don't have a GPS in their car and dont want to pay the higher gas tax, what would keep those people from just driving to Vancouver, WA (or any surrounding state for that matter) and purchasing their gas from there?

I drive down to Portland all the time to save sales tax on expensive items. Wouldn't it stand to reason that the people driving new cars would do the same, but drive to WA/ID/CA/NV to avoid the per mile gas tax?
