Comment Re:CFL are no savings (Score 1) 990

I tried everyone: GE, Phillips, Osram, etc. All of them failed. All in well ventilated appliances, and never turned off and on quickly. Still, my incandescents run for 1 to 3 years. CFL's are a pain in the ass, have bad color rendition, have flicker and they are expensive. I'm going to import some led's from china.

Yes, but a common income in argentina is 36.000 pesos a year. That translates to... USD9000/year. A little department for rent is about 1500 pesos. Eating frugaly for a month a minimum of 1000 pesos. Having a car? 300-400 pesos insurance + 200-400 pesos of "patente" (a tax you have to pay just to have the car and drive on the streets). You see... we ARE a 3rd world country, we have better preocupations like how can we make all the childs eat in every state and not die from hunger, we need to stop drug traffic, etc etc... and you, americans, think we will give a shit about pirated music and software? Ha!

Yes, but they do all this "free" or "cheap" things in everywhere, but when they come here, they go to a very small place, called "Luna Park" with capacity for a maximum of 16k people, when the can go to other places like the river stadium that can hold almost 80k people, they can have cheaper tickets and earn the same quantity of money, or more. When pearl jam came here, they had tickets for $60 (almost USD 15)... and also they did 2 shows! and in a stadium!. Radiohead is like Zack de la Rocha from RATM, they speak about freedom, socialism, etc, and then you see him driving down his bentley to his mansion...
