BTW, in case anyone wants ACTUALLY to learn egyptian hieroglyphic, Gardiner, as someone mentioned above, is the place to start, despite being 50 years old. All the 'idiot's guide to egyptian' type books, or the dover reprints, are crap and totally obsolete.
