After threads like this one and its forerunners in similarly affected stories, Slashdot editors have agreed to stop accepting kiddie slang in headlines. This move was heralded by the vast, silent majority of Slashdot who don't have time for this sort of childish crap. CmdrTaco was overheard saying, 'I know I'm a [World of Warcraft] addict -- like many of you -- but I will nip this in the bud before we have headlines containing ZOMGWTFBBQ!!~. This is not Digg and I'd like to keep it that way.'

I didn't mean to submit it containing the world heralded, but ... mistakes happen.

I've posted many trivial one liners in my time on Slashdot. If you've come to my info page looking for comments that are worth reading I will list the best of them here. • Regarding 'intellectual property'. Here's more on "IP" (and a higher rated, but less useful comment from the same thread). Also an unrelated one copyright reform (later I posted this about copyright reform -- the book I recommend at the bottom is comes out in paperback in Feb. 2008 at Amazon: Rethinking Copyright . Here's a branch if you are interested in my thoughts on DRM (maybe not my best posts).
• Here's a series regarding "for the children" (this isn't all of them, I comment on this all the time). Rebuttals for: For the children, Ban gay marriage, and Gays can't raise children
• Gun control (hitting your target?)
• Ranting about the Newton MP from the end of 2004 (good discussions all over this story).
