The writer should know their own value. If they are overpaid then act accordingly - plenty of solutions since the money is theirs to spend.

If they are underpaid, then try to find a more subtle solution, not sue this sue that, patent this patent that.

Understanding this, we conclude that a rich and famous writer doesn't necessary mean he/she is very good at writing; and we will learn that some poor and unknown writer may be beyond his/her time. And that the concept of Copyright will always be corrupted when $ and court are involved together.

Well since no one (more powerful) is claiming a country, it is left to the "borrowing barbarians".
And it appears that this will work as long as the barbarians don't screw it up with their own systems of governance.
As time passed, these have come to believe they own the country by using more of their "rules".
Since it is the truth vs self-defined rules, the more "rules" being made, the more trapped we are.

Therefore the only solution is:
recognize the truth which is no one truly claims a land, while playing along with those in power to make rules whatever rules they want.
This way, no matter what happen to us, good or bad, we live free. Because if there is one unseen force that truly OWNS the land, we didn't really trespass as those did with their "rules". We are at peace either way in this matter.
