Comment Project Pane (Score 1) 193
I would be happy with just a project pane, like Textmate has, that doesn't look like ass. I love VIM, but that's pretty much the only thing holding me back from dropping Textmate.

It does nothing for dog piss though. Stupid people. I need to burn this house down and replace it.
I have a 93 Dodge 2500 pickup truck. I came to a stop light and the truck was trying to push through the brakes. Ended up being the cruse control. It was on, but not enabled. It somehow enabled and was trying to take off. Even though I was holding the brakes, it was still trying to go. I finally realized and turned off the control.
So it's not only foreign/new cars that have this issue.
No, it's not an "unauthorized copy". You are allowed to watch it. So no lawyers at your door.
I love mine, and the 6 hour battery life can just about get me through the whole work day without wires.
Why don't these corporations have a SSB (single site browser) for their web apps? Then they can use IE8 or whatever they want and still have the SSB for their apps. Is there a SSB that is IE6?
Gasoline doesn't blow up. You watch too many movies.
I 2nd this. Metered bandwidth is the way to go. Grandpa can afford to send his three emails a month and I can do my remote development 6 days a week.
Oh, by the way, I'm on a Mac.
Thanks for the update.
I don't say that I'm the brightest, and I might believe in God and all that, but I'm pretty sure we can't know what happened so long ago. For all we know, we could be some science experiment to determine life, the universe, and everything.... And 42 just doesn't answer it unless you know the question.
It's all about Pre-Paid wireless. They pay for a block of bandwidth, when it's used up, they pay again for another block.
I wrote some software for my WISP that allows customers to add as much as they want. They want 40GB, they buy it.
That way I can pay for the bandwidth and they get the service they want.
"Opinion question? Whether humans (who have been around for less than a million years no matter how loosely you define human) and dinosaurs (which have been dead for over 60 million years"
And obviously you were there to know this as fact.
As if we can be absolutely sure that carbon dating is accurate to that length of time. As if we can be absolutely sure of anything over 2000 years ago. What, do you have a time machine?
You can just log into any computer and you have your own desktop with your own apps. Doesn't matter where you are. The environment follows your login.
Like Sun did.... 15 years ago....
Microsoft has been trying to commit suicide for 20 year, and people are just now realizing it. How many company's to they have to kill, how many people do they have to piss off before people start looking elsewhere. A lot!
I'm booting customers off all the time for p2p filesharing. I might as well get paid for it. My ISP clearly states that it's not allowed, and clearly states that the network is a shared resource. So I'm not tricking anyone. I even tell them when I set them up that p2p is not allowed and it causes bandwidth issues for everyone else.
Just yesterday some lady downloaded 23GB of stuff. Not sure what it was, but it pretty much knocked out internet for about 30 other people. 1500+ connections open to that one computer. I gave her the boot. Told her good luck finding internet access out here in the middle of nowhere. Dial-up doesn't even work.
I reserve the right to deny access to my network to anyone for any reason. Especially illegal activity. No, downloading music for free is not legal. No downloading movies for free is not legal. Gesh, just get Netflix or something.
It's a naive, domestic operating system without any breeding, but I think you'll be amused by its presumption.
