There are plenty of single player games out there. All this fussing is unnecessary.

Also, a lot of comments overly exaggerate the multiplayer's negative experience. I understand that there are a lot of douchebags out there but just because you've run into one of them doesn't mean that everyone who enjoys multiplayer games is going give you a world of grief.

If only I could ever get my supervisors to see the big picture it would have been a miracle. All that concerned them was "is there a body in that position" and "how do i game the system so i can get my bonus this year".

I think the summary nails it. Employers are mostly looking to exploit their "human resources" anyway they can to make a buck. That includes grinding your passion to a pulp why they reward themselves to the fruits of that hard labor. Everyone should stop pussyfooting around and just learn to not feel bad about calling spade spades.

Thank you. As a creator myself, I often find this argument ridiculous and obviously from the mouth of someone who is NOT a creator. They don't understand that I create for the joy of creating, not the possibility of monetary reward,

I had no problem passing my CS requirements as a Distance Learning student. The toughest courses were intro to CS I & II and if the guy taught himself it should be a cakewalk. After you get the fundamentals down the rest of the curriculum is quite enjoyable.
