So the free anti virus runs out of freeness. You need to renew your free licence. Yeah maybe later, I'm watching... something important.
You're no longer receiving virus definition files. Well who needs those anyway, you're still protected right?
Friend sends you a link that looks very legit because you're not sober, your free anti-virus seems to notice something, but you really wanted to see that other important video so you clicked allow.
Seems you needed those virus definition files after all
I don't want to sound like a fanboy, but it seems to me that they forget to mention that MSE doesn't expire?

When the US starts paying what other countries pay for fossil fuel (as any European could say), then maybe solar power research will skyrocket. Until then, as it's not even currently appealing profit-wise, it's quite sad to say but only military applications and some rare initiatives (often subsidized) remain and that's just because soldiers can't be carrying their weight in oil to fuel the devices they use and batteries are still inconvenient. Let's give it a few more years, but recent events in the middle east should help a few make up their minds.

How Icaros Desktop Brings the Amiga Experience To x86 PCs 202

angry tapir writes "Icaros Desktop is an effort to build a modern Amiga-compatible operating system to standard x86 hardware. It's a distribution built atop AROS, which is an open source effort to create a system compatible at the API level with the AmigaOS 3.x series. I recently had a chat to the creator of Icaros, Paolo Besser, about the creation of the OS and why Amiga continues to inspire people today."

Well it's actually harmless until someone needs to discredit you for some reason. I'm pretty sure it's easier to justify firing someone who would have FB posts of them being stupid compared to someone who would not. Everyone commits minor crimes but if you provide your own proof against yourself don't be surprised you get prosecuted.

When we talk about Iran, we say that their government wants to control the freedom of it's people. In the United States, we say that laws "protect" the freedom of it's people. Maybe people forget where the laws come from? Every government is hell-bound on censoring the internet right as we speak, and there's little anyone can do with online posts, we cannot fight back with the weapons they control...

I also thought about it the same way you did, like the fact that higher intelligence often leads to mental illness. I'm pretty sure any kind of frequent use of entertainment "products" that stimulates the brain enough to cause addiction only affects those with a predisposition to it.
