I wonder how are they supposed to cool the whole stuff? I just can't figure out what temperature could be into that box because of the projector... This will be the most noisy desk ever.

Well, the "device identity verification" is always done by a software. Won't take long till it is reversed, and a "patched" executable released, so that it always gives the "right answer".

Have to agree, Maxtor (Seagate) sucks big time! Many Maxtor/Seagate drives have phailed at home, ad many at work too... On a Fujitsu/Siemens server, i had to replace 3 out of 5 10.000rpm 500gb sata disks, and they all were from Seagate. Tech support sent some marked as Fujitsu drives, everything is working smooth since then.

But, actually it was the SATA controller. Adaptec 2610SA, a LOAD of UltraDMA CRC Errors. Changing sata cables didn't do the trick. I suppose it's dead.
