Receiving and Collecting are one and the same since if you receive and retain then you have collected. Pretty sure they did not immediately destroy or discard the information. Don't try and pussy foot around this, He lied flat out and he knew it. He (and they) is hoping that semantics and the apathy of the general population will let them get away with it.

I started out at the age of 8. My Dad taught computers in school (not programming) and so he would bring a couple Apple IIe's home on weekends. I too tried the compute magazine programs, but got bored with that and started making my own. I learned from magazines and books but mostly from doing. A few years later I found out that my Dad actually knew "The Dragon" and he lived a 30 minute drive from our home. When I was 10 my Dad was teaching a spreadsheet course at a local college, he had some meetings to go to that week and so my Mom drove me and I answered questions and taught the class while he was away. Not sure if you could get away with that today.

The real problem is that governments print money that they have no business printing, devaluing the currency. Countries rely too much on other countries instead of being self sufficient. People think the world owes them and they are entitled to everything without working for it. People are too selfish to help out the poor and needy. Those are the real problems. If you change that, you not only change your circumstances, but you change the world.

The fact remains that society on a whole does not accept the fact that women abusing men happens and so when it does we do tend to look the other way but still make a monster out of the guy that does it. The reality is that regardless of your gender if you abuse your counterpart you are the monster and should change. Simply leaving the situation does not cure or change you. Your friend is no angel because she left. She is still as messed up as she was before she left. To think otherwise is not only rediculous but nieve. Instead of getting defensive about the differences between the sexes or picking on each other, if more people just accepted the fact that yes there is a difference in what each gender is good at and celebrate those differences instead of thinking that the differences are weaknesses people would get along so much better. I have never understood why a woman would want to be treated like a man, when men are truthful they will tell you they adore and look up to the women in their lives. Why would you want to change that? Guys do not adore other guys ( in general ). Personally I recognize the differences that exist between myself and my wife. We each are better at some things than the other but together we are pretty awesome at most everything. Does it mean we don't dissagree? No but you find compromises. Society on a whole ignores this.

That depends on the quality of the GPS device and how many satellites it tracks at a time. If you have enough you can get within less than 5 feet of the said device. Knowing Apple though they are probably using a hybrid GPS system that will either increase the error range dramatically or decrease it to the point that you would have elevation information as well that would allow you to tell what floor the said device is on.

If you can handle the sheer size of this machine... The Asus G74 line is any geeks dream. With a full keyboard and keypad including arrow keys that are backlit it is great. It comes with a 17 inch screen, core i7 processor, 3GB video ram, 12GB ram, and yes though it is bulky the best part of it is that no matter how hard it is working it never heats up. Which means you can work with it on your lap if you want for hours on end an no matter how much video or anything else you throw at it... It literally does not change temperature, unlike pretty much everything else out there (apple should take notice because they do a crap job at heat management). Things to note: -it comes with 4 USB ports 1 of which is powered all the time even if the machine is off for charging of devices. -it also comes with a dvi port -blueray availability varies by reseller -synaptics touchpad can be glitchy at times though this is a trait of synaptics line not just for this specific machine.(synaptics is the multi-gesture touchpad) -it does come with a media card reader also -it also has easy to access panels on the bottom to allow easy upgrades like adding in a 2nd hard drive. All in all with the size aside this has been the best laptop that I have ever used. Beating out even the 17 inch MacBook pro because of the heat management and the fact that it has way better hardware specs for less cost. It will still run you close to $2000 if you do not find it on sale. It is a Republic Of Gamers machine but I use it for software development. I agree with you that these things happen all the time. My grandmother ( at 77 ) and her sister ( at 74 ) both had undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy and decided they wanted to take a day trip across the border. When they were going from the Canadian side to the American side the Boarder guard looked at them not sure what to make of them and asked them to come inside. Turns out the multiple treatments for each of them combined was more than they were used to seeing in older people and they just wanted to double check to be on the safe side. Good on them. They handled the situation correctly with tact and care.
